Format: Virtual
The “Roadmapping Pathways for Quantum Computing” virtual event brings together academia and industry for a dynamic, multi-level discussion that aims to create a common vision for quantum computing in British Columbia and beyond in the context of the global quantum landscape.
The event will consist of two 3-hour sessions, one focused on quantum hardware, and the other on quantum software and algorithms. Each session will start with a brief introduction to a subset of specific topics, followed by small breakout groups in which each team – guided by a Topic Champion – will do a deep dive into one topic. The results will be presented to the whole group for discussion. Compiling all the results from the breakout groups will yield a real-time Roadmapping Document that will serve as a basis to synchronize efforts across the quantum computing sector in BC, advocate for funding in strategic areas, and provide a benchmark for ongoing developments and technology adoption.
